Obituary for Bruce Paul Elmer
Bruce “Brutus” Elmer, age 62 of Danbury, WI, passed away unexpectedly on April 5th, 2023. Bruce was born on September 22, 1960 in Minneapolis, MN to parents Ted and Marilyn Elmer.
Brutus was a kindhearted, gentle giant. Bruce would help anyone who needed it. If he was your friend, you were a friend for life.
Bruce always wanted a custom bike built. In 2007, his dream bike was finally finished. He called it “Brutus”. He loved getting together with friends, going for long rides and showing off “Brutus”.
Bruce enjoyed going to the bike shop to help Gunner work on bikes. Bruce would entertain anyone that walked in the door. He loved to tell stories about this and that, and he had a lot of good ones. After a hard day of working, they would sit back and have a couple of cocktails and talk for hours. Bruce also enjoyed spending time with his 4 adopted dogs. He would give them a lot of attention and treats.
Bruce had a passion for playing poker. He didn’t always win, but when he did, he would let you know it. Thank you everyone for making it fun for him.
Bruce is preceded in death by his parents Ted and Marilyn Elmer.
Bruce will be greatly missed by his special friends, Joanie Hahr, Gunner Spears, Jenn Brown and Joe Hunter.
He is survived by his stepmother, Marion Elmer; Aunt, Viola Haugerud; sisters, Sharon (Harry) Kutzke, Vickie (Ray) Thorson, LeAnn Williamson; nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Zia's in Webster, WI from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
