Obituary for Dale Ellsworth Petersen
Dale Ellsworth Petersen, age 89, a resident of Spooner, WI passed away on December 17, 2022 with his loved ones by his side.
Dale was born on January 5, 1933 in Anoka County, MN to parents Carl and Agnes Petersen.
After graduating Dale worked at Kenny’s Store delivering gas. He then worked at Petersen Movers for his brother. Dale eventually bought the business and owned and operated it up until he retired at the age of 84.
Dale married the love of his life, Dawn Simonson on July 28, 2012 in Spooner, WI.
Dale was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending his free time outdoors.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents; son, Guy Joe; daughter, LuAnn; brothers, T-Bone, George, Chuck; sisters, Dorothy and Carla; former wife, MaryAnn; mother-in-law, Irene; and brother-in-law, Steve.
He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Dawn; children, Mike Petersen and Wendy (Bill) Nergard; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Glenn Petersen; sister, Margaret Daigle; along with other relatives and many friends.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:30 am (visitation from 10:00-11:30 am) at Lakeside Community Lutheran Church (28626 Co Rd H, Webster, WI 54893).
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Interfaith Caregivers P.O. Box 676, Webster, WI 54893.
