Obituary for Deborah Mary Zamor (Hill)

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Debby, a loving and devoted wife, mom,
grandma, great grandma, aunt, sister, and friend to all whose lives she touched. She left us to enter
into her Eternal Life in Heaven with her daughters by her side at the hospital on February 20, 2022.

Deborah Mary Zamor (Hill) was born to this life on July 28, 1953 to the late Richard and Lavern Hill
(Leavitt) in Los Angeles California. She was the second to the youngest of four children in her family.

God intervened on the day that Debby and Dave met when her brother attempted to set up a blind
date for her to meet Dave’s room-mate. Instead the two of them began talking and he asked her out,
and Debby accepted. Their life long journey together started at the San Diego Zoo the next day.
Debby left her home in California to follow Dave to his home in Minnesota when she was 19 years
old. There they were married at Saint John's Church in New Brighton Minnesota on May 4, 1973.
They got an apartment together in New Brighton for a short time, moved to Northeast Minneapolis
where they had their first child (Malissa) before finally settling in Baine where they had their second
child (Sara) and chose to raise their family.

Outside of family and God, the outdoors was her greatest love. Deb longed to be outside, constantly
adding to gardens around her home, and feeding any creature that ventured into the yard. Every
chance she got, Deb would escape to the woods. Anything from feeding the birds, fishing, gardening,
or hunting, brought her peace. She took great pride in her yard….some may even say a bit anal. Deb
had been known to cut her grass with scissors, and begin pulling crabgrass before the sun came up.
When asked about what she was doing she would simply say that it was relaxing and brought her
peace.

Deb had a great love for God, and is known by her family for her quoting Matthew 17:20. If you have
Faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will
move. If you were in her presence for more than 10 minutes, her love for her faith, and her family was
not doubted, and in many cases….contagious.

Deb’s Faith, shown through, right up until the end of her life here with us. She pushed through the
pain she was in, offering it up for what she could do for others, to partake in what brought her peace,
and in hopes of bringing her family closer to God. Her heart was made up of complete selflessness,
never wanting anyone to worry or to be left in despair. She loved deeply, and sacrificed herself until
her last breath.

She was the beloved wife of Dave, Loved mom of her two daughters Malissa (Joe) and Sara, proud
grandma & memah of Jason (Callie), Devin, Abby, and Alex, great-grandma of Grace and Ian, sister
to Larry, sister-in-law to Dianne, aunt to Jay (Julie), Gia (Darryl), ShaShanna (Chopper), JD, Lathen,
and Lisa (Casey), and devoted friend to countless people that she touched throughout her life.

Debby was preceded in death by both her parents, father and mother-in-law, sister Donna, brother
Bob, and brother-in-laws Jim and Julius.

A small celebration in life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Grantsburg, Wisconsin
for close family and friends.

Memorials: Debby has always lived by the motto of “Pay it Forward”/Giving to others in need. Out of
respect for her memory please give to others in need, donate to God based charities, pay for the
person behind you at a drive through, simply do without expecting anything in return, and full
heartedly spread God’s word and promises to others!

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Grantsburg. Online condolences can be made at www.swedberg-taylor.com.
