Obituary for Dennis E. Dahl

Dennis passed away at Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa, AZ on January 24, 2022 after a year long battle with cancer, with his family by his side.

Dennis was born April 26, 1942 in Grantsburg WI to Alice and Ernest Dahl. After graduation from Grantsburg he had various careers. He drove semi trucks, both local and over the road, worked in lumberyards, and millwork companies.

He married Karen Stoltz in Pine City, MN. Dennis and Karen had two children: Jennifer and James. They lived in the Twin City area until 1974 when they moved back to Grantsburg. He drove truck for Northern Manufacturing and worked at Parker Hannifin as a Quality Control Manager where he retired after 20 years. After Karen retired, they moved to Apache Junction AZ.

Dennis loved fishing, hunting, golf and cars! He was also an avid woodworker and made several beautiful pieces of furniture for their home. He and Karen enjoyed riding their Harleys and met many great people on their travels. He thoroughly enjoyed their cruise to Alaska and got his wish to see a grizzly in Denali Park!

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Ernest, an infant brother, and his son James.

Dennis is survived by his wife Karen; daughter, Jennifer of Apache Junction, AZ; the apple of his eye granddaughter, Jessica Finch of Mesa, AZ; his sister-in-law, Kathy Howell, of Eden Prairie, MN; godson, Josh Howell of Brookings SD; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held on June 30 at Riverside Cemetery at 10:30 am with Pastor Emory Johnson officiating.

Local arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, WI.
