Obituary for Doris Mae Kosloski (Ashbaugh)

Doris Mae Kosloski, age 89, of Siren, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 4th, 2022.

Doris was born on October 18,1932 in Browns Valley, MN to parents, Norris and Lottie (Durkin) Ashbaugh.

Doris graduated from Siren High School in 1951. A couple of years after she graduated, she married the love of her life, Rapheal Kosloski, on August 28th,1954 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Frederic, WI. As they started a family, Doris gave birth to three boys, Gary, Ron, and Rick, and loved them unconditionally.

Doris faithfully served the Village of Siren as the Clerk and Treasurer for over 40 years, where she built lasting relationships. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, where she was very active as a Catechism teacher, as well as the Church Treasurer. She also served as a member on the Legion Auxiliary in Siren.

In her free time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, embroidering, traveling with family and friends, sight seeing on the local back roads, and loved to quilt for both St. Dominic’s and Bethany Lutheran Churches. She spent numerous hours attending her son’s and grandchildren’s activities, no matter the distance, and was known to always be there. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family.

Doris is preceded in death, by her parents; Norris and Lottie; her loving husband, Rapheal; her son, Gary; and her sisters, Bernice and Lucille.

She will be greatly missed by her sons; Ron (Wendy), Rick (Kristin); grandchildren, Natasha, Jennica, Michael, Samantha, Abby, Nathan, and Brady; great-granddaughter, Kiara; along with many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Siren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM (visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 AM) at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Frederic, WI.
