Obituary for Edna Louise Coston-Jackson
Edna Louise Coston-Jackson, age 84, a resident of Webster, passed away on May 3, 2023 at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Edna was born on December 25, 1938 in Chicago, IL to parents William Jackson Sr. and Edna White.
After graduating from high school Edna enlisted into the United States Navy from 1958 to 1966 and was Honorably discharged. After being discharged from the Navy Edna continued her education and earned her bachelor’s degree in Education and worked as a teacher in Eau Claire, WI for many years. After teaching she worked for Mina Copeland writing grants. Edna was an active and proud member of the Lioness Club and was the Vice President of the Zion Lutheran Church council in Markville.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William Edward Jr and Alfred “Jr” Wilson 3rd.
She will be greatly missed by children, Craig Coston and Langley Hess; sister, Barbra Jackson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and multiply loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM (visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM) at the Zion Lutheran Church in Markville, MN with Pastor Colleen Monfre as the officiant with Military Honors to follow.
