Obituary for Elaine Margaret Owens (Dombrock)
Elaine Margaret Owens, age 79, a resident of Frederic, Wisconsin, passed away on March 15, 2022 in St. Croix Falls, WI.
Elaine was born on November 30, 1942 in Wisconsin Rapids to parents Walter and Margaret Dombrock. She graduated from St. Croix Falls High School and then went on to Gustavus Adolphus College and UW River Falls and received her bachelor’s degree in education. Elaine taught Junior High English in Worthington, MN for over 20 years.
Throughout Elaine’s live she lived in St. Croix Falls, WI, Worthington, MN, Osceola, WI, Mauston, WI, and then residing in Frederic, WI.
Elaine married the love of her life Harlin Owens on March 7, 1964.
In Elaine’s free time she enjoyed cooking, quilting, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandsons.
Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret Dombrock; sister, Carol (Rod) Nilsestuen; and sister-in-law, Becky Dombrock.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Harlin Owens; children, Sharon (Terry) Garling, Dale (Donna) Owens; grandchildren, Nicholas, Benjamin and Matthew Garling, David and Derek Owens; brothers, Edward (Anne) Dombrock and Lee Dombrock; along with many extended family members; friends; and former students.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM (visitation 9:30 - 11:00 AM) at Joy Lutheran Church in Centuria, WI.
