Obituary for Holly Marie Jolly (Thaemert)

Holly Marie Jolly (Thaemert), age 53, of Siren, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on October 5, 2022, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.

Holly Marie Jolly (Thaemert) was born on December 7, 1968, in Minot, ND to William James Thaemert and Kathleen Kay Vogt. She grew up in St. Paul, MN and graduated from First Baptist Church and School in Rosemount, MN in 1987. She found joy in cheerleading and had a passion for writing. Following her high school graduation, she met her former husband Lawrence “Larry” Chrisman and moved to Oklahoma City, OK. Holly and Larry started their family in 1994 with their firstborn Amelie and in 1995 they welcomed their second, Kiara.

Holly had a successful career as a bookkeeper for a variety of businesses over the years. In her later years Holly struggled with addiction. While in recovery she rekindled her relationship with God. Her strengthened faith compelled her to answer a calling to help women in situations similar to her own. This is where she met her former husband Gary Jolly. They were blessed with six happy years of marriage before Gary’s passing in December 2021. Holly was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. Everyone knew she was a big kid at heart. She loved to laugh and found joy and humor in all things.

Holly was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilmer and Anna Estelle Thaemert, Keith and Eva Mae Vogt, and husband Gary Jolly.

She is survived by her parents, William and Kathleen Thaemert; sister, Heidi Landon; children, Amelie Chrisman and Kiara (David) Stevenson; grandchildren, Milo and Felix; and many cousins, nieces, nephew, and lifelong friends. Holly will be missed dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 3:00 PM at the Amazing Grace Assembly of God Church in St. Paul, MN (1237 Earl St. St. Paul, MN 55106).
