Obituary for Jacque Hensley

Jacque Hensley, age 88, a resident of Danbury, WI passes away on Monday, December 12,2022 in Osceola, WI.

Jacque was born on June 2, 1934 in Ottawa, IL to parents Homer and Ruth (Miller) Hensley.

Jacque attended Columbus Grade School and graduated from Ottawa Township High School in 1952. After graduating Jacque began working at Libby Owens Ford Glass Factory retiring in 1982 after 30 years.

He joined the US Marines Corps in 1956 and spent his enlistment in Hawaii.

Jacque loved fishing and spent every vacation in Wisconsin. Jacque lived in Utica just a few miles from Ottawa for several years. Jacque purchased property and resided in Wisconsin permanently upon retirement. He worked part time at the local school, Moose Lodge and dealt in Real Estate.

In Jacques free time during the summer months, he loved to go golfing and fishing. Once Jacque started fly fishing, he fell in love with it and stated to tie his own flies. People he fished with like his flies and bought them. Due to the high demand, he started selling them throughout various fishing magazines. They did so well that he was recognized by them as a master fly maker. Jacque won several national awards for his amazing flies. During the winter months you would find Jacque snowmobiling. He also looked forward to going to Ottawa every year for the local #19 reunion.

Jacque is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Ruth Hensley; sister, June Belden; and brother, Robert Hensley.

He is survived by his brother, Gene; niece; Cheryl June; along with many friends.
