Obituary for Lee Alan Cole

Lee Alan Cole, age 64, a resident of Grantsburg, WI, passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2022, at his cabin in Grantsburg, WI. He was born April 28th, 1958, in Minneapolis, the son of Lola and Doug Cole.

Lee graduated from Spring Lake Park High School in 1976. Following graduation, he went to Mankato State University and got an Associate Degree. After being a Paramedics for the Eagan Fire Department for almost a decade, Lee transitioned into Sales for his dad’s two-way radio business. During that time Lee continued to play League Softball and Basketball. Lee loved sports. Watching, playing, listening, it didn’t matter it was a passion. Lee was also active in his faith becoming a stephen minister. Lee was known for his big heart and generous nature.

Lee retired in 2019 and moved full-time to his beloved cabin on Wood Lake. Lee developed many cherished friendships with his Lake neighbors after owning there for over 25 years.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents.

Lee is survived by his brother, Scott (Stephine) Cole; sister, Jill (William) Mesaros; Lee had three nieces and a nephew. They are Lauren (Max) Arndt; their son, Dashel, Danielle Cole, Jared (Jillian) Hedlund, their children, Lily and Henry, Jordan Hedlund, their son, Syler.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Crossroads Church, 5590 Babcock Trail, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55077. Those who wish to remember Lee in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Grantsburg Food Shelf or the Compassion International.
