Obituary for Leo Neal Towle

Leo N. Towle, age 85, a resident of Hinckley, MN passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022.

Leo was born on September 19, 1936 in Brook Park, MN to Ernest J. and Vera S. Towle

Leo was a thinker, skilled in anything requiring a hammer and a 2x4. He was known to be kind of a “woodsman” who enjoyed cutting, splitting and selling firewood. He loved to travel, was always up for a road trip, fishing and camping. He was part of “Romeos” coffee clutch which was also known as retired old men eating out. Leo was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hinckley and a former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Danbury.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; son, Leonard; parents, Ernest and Vera; and son in law, John Wilson; brothers, Elwood (Janet), Eldon (Ester) and Merle; sisters Deloris (Marv), and Gayle (Donald).

Leo will be missed by his children, Anne (Scott) Thalin, John (Teresa) Towle, Mick (Teresa) Towle, Carla Skates, Charlene Wilson and Diana Towle (Jon Novak); his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; his companion, Eileen Johnson; along with other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM (visitation 10-11 AM) at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Danbury. Interment will follow at Danbury Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Derek Thalin, Bryan Thalin, Bill Towle, Brandon Graham, Jeremy Towle, Chase Towle, Mason Towle and Kirby Thalin.
