Obituary for Patrick Leo Mausolf

Patrick Mausolf, age 72, a resident of Danbury, WI passed away on October 1, 2022 at his home.

Pat was born on September 16, 1950 in S. St. Paul, MN to parents John and Ann Mausolf.

Pat was a member of the S. St. Paul VFW having served in the Army on the Front lines in the Viet Nam conflict. His service earned him a bronze and silver star. He was wounded and awarded a Purple Heart. He received 2 letters of accommodation signed by then, President Richard Nixon.

Pat was a quiet and gentle man. Independent and private. He retired to his dream home on a lake surrounded by woods. He was delighted in walking the grounds- watching the animals that walked his yard and identifying various plants and trees. His greatest joy was his 2 daughters and granddaughters who affectionately called him “Pappa Bear” and countless stories about him reading to them and storytelling!

Pat is preceded in death by parents; sisters, Karen Doriott and Gwyn Hammond.

He is survived by Wendy Miller; daughters Katie (Alex), and CarrieAnn Mausolf; granddaughters, Olive and Austyn L’Amie; brother, Mike (Suzanne) Mausolf; sister, Becky (Gary) Yunker.

A celebration of life will be held at the North St. Paul VFW post 1350 (2483 7th Ave. E. St. Paul, MN 55109) on Saturday, October 22nd from 12-4pm with a tribute and toast at 2pm.
