Obituary for Susan Marie "Sue" Lessard (Erickson)
Susan Marie Lessard, age 70, a resident of Siren passed away on January 5, 2023 at her home with her loved ones by her side.
Susan was born on August 29, 1952 in Amery, WI to parents, Robert and Phyllis Erickson.
Sue enjoyed as much time as she could spend with her family. She enjoyed playing bingo, attending meat raffles, and going to concerts and shows. Sue loved going on vacation, most of which was done with Ernie by her side. Sue traveled to Australia with her father and his wife. She enjoyed visiting Las Vegas so much that she even decided to live there for a while. Sue enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. They would take trips to Canada and Lake of the Woods. Sue looked forward to visiting the Yellow Lake Resort on the weekends to catch up with friends. Sue owned Furs Fins and Feathers, where she always had the coffee on for her morning crew of visitors that stopped by daily to say hello. When not socializing, Sue kept busy with counter cross stitch and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marjorie Erickson; and brother, Jason Erickson.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ernie; children, Tina (Dave) McCarty of Eau Claire, WI, Chad (Laura) Lessard of Siren, WI, Skip (Jami) Lessard of Blaine, MN; grandchildren, Steven (Claire) McCarty, Zackary Lessard, Logan Lessard, Chance Lessard, Noah Lessard, Kayla Koener; great-granddaughter, Adaline Sue McCarty; siblings. Jim (Chery) Erickson, Jeff (Sandra) Erickson, Sharon (Brian) Paulsen, Jerry (Julie) Erickson, Melady (Mike) Dietrich, Kathy (Ted) Zindars, Joe Erickson, John Erickson; mother-in-law, Barbara Lessard; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Will (Sherry) Lessard, Rick (Nancy) Lessard, Diane (Tom) Powers, Sue (Steve) Chiarella, Corky (Kay) Lessard, Chip (Carol) Lessard, David (Shelly) Lessard, Jim (Pam) Lessard; many nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home Siren, WI.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM (visitation from 10-11 AM) at Bethany Lutheran Church, Siren.
